Gas detection

Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) Detection

Choose an H2S gas detector around the monitoring task, required measuring range and sampling conditions. Review Eranntex model options for portable, transportable, fixed and online monitoring equipment, then confirm the sensor configuration and project requirements before requesting a quotation.

Why H2S Is Monitored

In the United States occupational context, the CDC/NIOSH Pocket Guide identifies hydrogen sulfide as a workplace chemical hazard. Monitoring helps organizations evaluate H2S conditions against their site procedures and applicable requirements. This page does not prescribe exposure limits, alarm settings or entry criteria; those requirements must be established for the relevant jurisdiction and task.

Four Questions for H2S Detector Selection

Monitoring task
Will the detector be worn by a person, carried between measurement points, or installed at a fixed location? Describe the work activity and where measurements are needed before comparing product types.
Unit and range
What H2S unit and measuring range does the project require? Include the expected concentration and required resolution. Compare each model's own options; a listed range does not establish suitability for a task or define exposure limits or alarm settings.
Gas configuration
Is H2S the only target, or must other gases be monitored at the same time? List each gas and range, and confirm the simultaneous channel configuration for the selected model.
Sampling conditions
Will gas reach the sensor by diffusion, or must a pump draw a sample from another location? Specify the sampling point, tubing and accessories, temperature, humidity and any condensation. Confirm the complete sampling arrangement for the intended conditions.

How to Read the H2S Model Options

Compare options within the required measurement unit, then use the product links to review each model's specifications and available documents. The ranges, resolutions and sampling arrangements belong to the individual model shown; they are not a combined specification for one detector.

Each listed gas-and-range option describes a documented capability for that model. It does not identify an installed gas combination or a confirmed orderable configuration. Confirm the required gases, ranges and sampling arrangement for your project.

For BTYQ-MS104K-S1, confirm the sensing principle for the selected H2S range; the published model information does not assign a sensing principle to that option.
