Gas Detector Quotation Preparation Checklist

A technical quotation needs the target gases and ranges, simultaneous monitoring requirement, site conditions, sampling approach, interfaces and documents. This checklist shows what each input helps verify.

Application and operating area

Record the monitoring task, process area, country of use, ambient conditions and any hazardous-area classification supplied by the project. These details distinguish personal monitoring, leak investigation, fixed area monitoring and online process measurement; equipment suitability still needs model and certificate-scope review.

Key specification inputs

  • Monitoring task and process area
  • Country of use and ambient conditions
  • Project-supplied area classification

Gas, range and simultaneous measurement

For each target gas, record the range and unit, sampling method and any response condition specified by the project. State how many gases must be monitored at once. A model's available gas options do not confirm that one instrument can measure every listed gas at the same time; the selected configuration must be checked.

Key specification inputs

  • Target gas, range and unit
  • Number of gases monitored at once
  • Sampling and response conditions

Installation, power and signals

For fixed or online equipment, include available power, required outputs, controller and alarm interfaces, installation conditions and any sample-handling requirement. These inputs let the technical team identify integration gaps before a configuration is quoted.

Key specification inputs

  • Available power and required outputs
  • Alarm and controller interfaces
  • Installation and sample-handling conditions

Documents and approval scope

Name the datasheets, manuals, declarations or certificates needed for technical and procurement review, including any destination-market requirement. Check the named certificate party and exact model or configuration scope rather than inferring approval from a product family.

Key specification inputs

  • Datasheets, manuals and declarations
  • Destination-market requirements
  • Named certificate party and exact scope
